Question 1

How much does a suite cost?

Accepted Answer

Starting at $279/week, all-inclusive. The rate depends on the suite. Tell us which suite you have in mind and we'll send the exact weekly rate for it.

Question 2

What is included in the weekly rate?

Accepted Answer

Electric, water, and hot water. Your own heating and A/C with a private thermostat in every suite, plus fresh-air ventilation. We provide a stylist chair and a shampoo chair in the hair suites (A and B), or an esthetics bed in the treatment suites (C and D), depending on your work. 24/7 smart-lock access, business WiFi, free parking, CRI 90+ lighting, and sound-insulated walls between suites. One weekly number covers all of it.

Question 3

What is not included?

Accepted Answer

Your tools, backbar, and retail products; Your own liability insurance; Your clients and your booking software. The suite comes finished with flooring, lighting, counters, and plumbing, so you bring what makes it yours.

Question 4

Will my rate go up?

Accepted Answer

Not during your first term. The weekly rate you sign at is the rate you pay for the full first lease. We'll talk to you about the rate well before the term ends, so there are no surprises at renewal.

Question 5

Are there any other fees?

Accepted Answer

No utility bills, no parking fees, no WiFi fee, and no add-on charges for using your suite at night or on weekends. The weekly rate is the number. The only things you pay for separately are the things you bring yourself, like your own liability insurance.

Question 6

What are the founding member terms?

Accepted Answer

With only four suites, the first people on the pre-lease list get the best terms. Rate locked for your first term: The weekly rate you sign at is the rate you pay for the full first lease. First pick of suite: Pre-lease list order decides who chooses Suite A, B, C, or D first. Two weeks free: Founding members get their first two weeks on us.

Question 7

How many suites are there and how big are they?

Accepted Answer

There are four. Suites A and B are on the first floor at 180 sq ft each, with their own exterior door, a private restroom inside the suite, a shampoo bowl, and windows. Suites C and D are on the lower level at 90 sq ft each, with a sink and cabinets, a separate lower-level entrance, and one restroom shared between the two of them.

Question 8

Which suite is right for my services?

Accepted Answer

Suites A and B are built for hair stylists and barbers: room for a chair, a shampoo bowl, and your own restroom. Suites C and D are quieter treatment rooms that suit estheticians, lash and brow artists, and nail techs. Every suite works for any beauty professional, so choose the one that fits how you actually work.

Question 9

Can two people share a suite?

Accepted Answer

Yes in Suites A and B. They are built for the serious professional who needs the space, whether that means two chairs for yourself or sharing with someone you trust. Suites C and D are single-practitioner rooms. If two of you share a suite, both names go on the lease.

Question 10

Is the electrical set up for clippers, dryers, and hot tools?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The first-floor suites are wired with hair stylists and barbers in mind, so clippers, blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons can run together without tripping a breaker. If you have an unusual load, tell us before you sign and we'll check it against the plans.

Question 11

Is there ventilation for waxing, lashes, and chemical services?

Accepted Answer

Every suite has fresh-air ventilation and its own HVAC, so the air in your room is not shared with the suite next door. That matters for color, lash adhesive, nail products, and wax. You control the thermostat for your own room. If you do nails, we can add extra source-capture ventilation at your station as part of the build-out, just ask when you apply.

Question 12

Do I get natural light?

Accepted Answer

Suites A and B have windows with natural light, and all four suites have CRI 90+ lighting for true color, which is what you want when you are matching a tone or checking a brow shape. Suites C and D are on the lower level, so they rely on that lighting instead of windows.

Question 13

How private is it? Can my client hear the next suite?

Accepted Answer

The walls between suites are sound-insulated, and every suite has its own door and its own climate. Suites A and B have an exterior door of their own, and Suites C and D share a separate lower-level entrance. Your client gets a quiet, private appointment.

Question 14

When are you opening?

Accepted Answer

We're opening Early 2027 at 1666 Village Green, Crofton, MD 21114, in Crofton Village Green. The build-out permit is filed and we'll send the exact opening week to everyone on the pre-lease list before anyone else.

Question 15

What if the opening slips?

Accepted Answer

Everyone on the list hears it from us first. Nobody pays for weeks the suite is not open, and your founding terms still hold. Construction can move, and we would rather tell you early than surprise you.

Question 16

How long is the lease?

Accepted Answer

12-month initial term, then month-to-month after your first term. That gives you time to build your book without locking you in for years.

Question 17

Where does the name TriVal come from?

Accepted Answer

It is a family name, put together. Tri comes from part of her name, and Val from part of her father's and our child's names. Three generations in one word, which is also why there is a crown over the T in our mark.

Question 18

Who is the landlord, and what happens when something breaks?

Accepted Answer

We are. TriVal is owner-operated, so you deal with the owners who sign your lease, not a management company. Send any question or maintenance request to our email (or through the inquiry form), and we reply from there. From there we set up a tour date that works for you.

Question 19

What if I need to leave early?

Accepted Answer

Talk to us. We're the owners and we'd rather work something out with you than hold you to a bad situation. The exact terms are in the lease we send you, and we'll walk through them with you before you sign.

Question 20

Can I set my own hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 24/7 smart-lock access, your own schedule. Open at 6 AM, stay until midnight, work weekends only, it's your call. The suite is yours.

Question 21

Can I bring in a guest artist or an assistant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your suite is your business, and guests and assistants are fine with a heads-up to us first. Anyone offering licensed services needs to be properly licensed and insured for what they do.

Question 22

What are the house rules?

Accepted Answer

Keep it simple: you have 24/7 access, so be considerate of your neighbors on sound and shared spaces. Ask us before changing walls or plumbing. We'll send the short written version with the lease.

Question 23

Do I need a license?

Accepted Answer

You need to be licensed for the services you offer. You work under your own individual Maryland license, whether you are one of the hair stylists and barbers, estheticians, lash and brow artists, or nail techs we expect here. We'll walk you through the checklist when you apply.

Question 24

Do I need my own insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You carry your own liability insurance for your business. We'll ask for proof of coverage before you move in.

Question 25

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

Just the things that make the work yours: your tools, backbar, and retail products, your own liability insurance, your clients and your booking software. Everything else is already in the suite.

Question 26

Can I brand and decorate the suite?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we hope you do. Paint colors, art, plants, signage inside your suite, and your own furniture are all yours to choose. Let us know before you make changes to walls or fixtures, and we'll help you plan them.

Question 27

Is parking free for me and my clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Parking is free for you and your clients, right at the building in Crofton Village Green.

Question 28

How do I reserve a suite?

Accepted Answer

Fill out the pre-lease form. We reply ourselves by email within 24 hours, we talk about your practice and timeline and set up a tour date together, and then we send a simple application covering license, insurance, and terms. You pick your suite in pre-lease list order.
